Horse Guards Parade Buildings, Whitehall
Just before the Royal wedding I was shown around the Horse Guards Parade buildings with the Athenaeum Club and learnt much to my amazement that this is the official entrance into the court of St James’ and the Royal Palaces .

First of all I would like to point out that I have never stopped to consider the design and way in which we walk through and are given the artefacts to see in a museum. I was also hard pushed to begin telling you what the museum was all about – I had never been but I knew it held some amazing drawings and old masters.

100 Years of Ownership: The Goring Hotel celebrates its Centenary
The Goring Hotel opened its doors on Wednesday 2nd March 1910 and since then four generations of Gorings have nurtured the hotel. I have been lucky enough to have created a large amount of work with Jeremy Goring , the present owner of the hotel.

Amanda Wakeley’s Fashion Show at Somerset House
There’s nothing quite like the buzz of a fashion show and this week was London Fashion week fizzing away at Somerset house. It was staged in the courtyard fountain area just under the Courthauld Galleries where last week I was at the launch of the Michelangelo exhibition.

Michelangelo’s Dream
Last night was the opening of ‘Michelangelo’s Dream’ at The Courtauld Gallery which was truly amazing and focuses on the drawing that Michelangelo did as a ‘show’ work for a young man that he fell in love with, called Tommaso de Cavalieri.
